Things to be looked at with a single eye.

"as a freshman i was assigned paradise lost and when i got to 'the mind is its own place' i thought ok if that’s true i can just hang out in my mind and don’t need to read this long stupid poem!!!!! this was not true

years later, reading and falling in love with it as a grad student, i was so mad at my younger self but glad to get a second chance—which is of course what PL is all about

i told this story to the undergrads in my milton class and they did not remotely care. going to follow up with them about it in 10 years" --@kukukadoo
