only to viciously vanish · filched by the void,
i want just one · warded, preserved,
without mark or ping · among all past
existences. · My zeal allows me
the prize of appointing · as never previous,
that bloom unblabbing· that final flower
Milton lifted · to his lightless mug
in vain.--O blank rose · reddish or saffron or pale
broke from a branch · whose garden's gone,
your rendered duration · magic'lly remains
& glows & glisters · in this glass of verse
aureate, ivory, · ashen or magenta
as held in his hands once · that hiddenest rose.
