"In a 2023 study, researchers taught 18 pet parrots to start video calls themselves by ringing a bell and touching a picture of another parrot on a tablet. Over three months, the birds could choose whom to call.
They called each other often. They sang, played and showed each other their toys. Some formed clear favourites. Their owners said the calls seemed to help them learn new skills, like flying or new sounds." —@thenonverbal via

landscape of seasonal effigies
standing still in the dank dark
standing still in the dank dark
still standing this landscape
of dank effigies in seasonal dark
throwing stars on the halfway tree
throwing stars on the halfway tree
it is only ravens of a shadowy future
it is only ravens of a shadowy future
the future is throwing halfway
shadowy stars of only ravens a tree on it
rabbit haunts the broken driveway
rabbit haunts the broken driveway
once as i was going out
once as i was going out
driveway i was broken once
going as the out rabbit haunts
a driveway ravens the landscape
of halfway shadowy stars
effigies of the broken future
throwing out the seasonal tree
it is only dark once going
as i was on rabbit haunts standing still in dank
