"Pyro-Plastination"
The syllable of raincoats
fasts among each soldier
contact. In some moraine
light seems to hover, a constant
worry, limning the damage
and licensing its language.
I have climbed one more rill
to survey. What used to be plaintiff
now in an armed cluster
practices sheer treachery.
But as we took the bargain
we bought cloud and fissure.
I should have my mouth sewn shut.
"One must judge men, not by their opinions, but what their opinions have made of them." --Lichtenberg
