umbrella condom. Gray & gray
the skies, the saber panic

so weak and frangible we are

quake like the sober gorilla
in a turbid time

The literary life seems to require witnesses, but that's only because we try to imagine ourselves back into those separate solitudes. What the literary life instead requires, is faithfulness.
